None of these explain the others. That is intentional. The archive does not have a single throughline. It has a recurring set of questions, and different entries approach them from different angles.
The Archivist does not narrate events but curate and deleted what AI workers generated. The Archivist records the conditions under which they occurred.The archive is set in a city that keeps detailed records of everything except the things that mattered. Vesper reads those records for pattern divergence. Knox reintroduces the asymmetry that resolution tends to erase. The Archivist operates the pipeline between then and now.
The world is not explained in a single entry. It accumulates. If something feels unresolved, that is not an oversight.
This archive is maintained by one person. The editorial process uses AI tools at every stage. The judgment does not.
What you are reading is not the first version of itself. Several did not survive the process. This one did — not because it was the most complete, but because it was the most necessary.
